- description: Police have arrested a man following a pursuit and an aggravated robbery at West Lakes. Just before 10.30am, a man grabbed an amount of cash from the till in the gaming area of the Lakes Resort Hotel on Brebner Drive. He was confronted by staff and ran outside. A staff member chased the suspect and grabbed him but let him go after the suspect threatened him with a screwdriver. The suspect was seen to get into a black Holden Colorado utility with Victorian number plates, ZWO352 which was reported stolen from a property at Hindmarsh earlier this morning. Police then spotted the utility on Eastern Parade at Ottoway and pursued it with the assistance of the police helicopter through the western suburbs until the utility crashed on Port Road at Hindmarsh. The driver ran off but was apprehended by police a short distance away. Further details will be provided as they come to hand.
