  • description: tecA An embarrassing slip-up – or a deliberately calculated prank – it’s the question that was on many minds when video surfaced of a man, who apparently failed to realise his headphones were not plugged in before watching pornographic material in a lecture theatre. The video has gone viral since it was posted yesterday, garnering more than 2800 views – but more than a few YouTube users have cried foul. “I'm gonna call it fake. Simply because no dumbass would watch porn with 100 people right behind him,” said (SBB) Blitz. The video, apparently shot in an Australian lecture theatre, shows the lecture interrupted by loud, ecstatic cries coming from what appears to be a student laptop. Lecture attendees react with startled amusement, as the accused – apparently oblivious – stares deadpan at his screen. Realising his error, he then gathers up his laptop and flees, to a round of applause from fellow students. The original video, a compilation of ‘awkward uni situations’, was first posted to the YouTube page of Sydney ‘prankster’ Jamie Zhu on May 7, confirming suspicions the video was staged. “Had lots of fun filming this!” Mr Zhu said in the video caption. “LIKE and COMMENT if you want more of these types of videos!!!" Mr Zhu has explained the video in a phone interview. "I've always loved being outrageous and making an idiot out of myself, making people laugh," he said. "So I figured I should give it a try." Mr Zhu has expressed surprise at finding his video had gone viral overnight. "This morning I woke up to see so many friends tagging me on different websites [posting about the video] and it was like a dream come true. "I would love for these videos to eventuate into some sort of career as an entertainer."
