  • description: Quadruple Amputee Dog Walks With Prosthetic Limbs A two-year-old rottweiler called Brutus is proving that even a dog with no limbs can learn new tricks. The adopted pet from the US state of Colorado is only the second dog ever known to have four artificial legs, reports WHO-TV. "You can't explain to an animal why you are putting these contraptions on their feet," said the dog's owner, Laura Aquilina. "You can't explain to them, that it's to help them." Brutus was severely frostbitten after his breeder left him out in the cold when he was a puppy. The breeder then amputated the pup's paws himself, leaving the dog crippled. Ms Aquilina adopted Brutus last June and launched a GoFundMe campaign, raising around $16,000 for the dog's new limbs and physical therapy. The dog started walking with rear prosthetics last September and the front devices came 6 to 8 weeks later. "It's not always pretty," said Ms Aquilina. "We want to be able to give him a higher function, where he can run and play with other dogs, go on hikes."
