The allegations are based on suspicions that some voters attempted to impersonate other voters in order to vote twice. Officials handed over the papers to the police with gloves to to prevent their fingerprints from contaminating evidence. The national result of the Scotland referendum is due to be declared after all of the 32 counts have been completed. Final results are expected to be announced between 06:30 and 07:30 local time Friday (0530 and 0630 GMT).
