  • description: This week, Truly and Lagarce fictitiously travel to Japan - the land of geisha, samurai, and eating semen. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we're eating fish sperm this week. A Japanese delicacy, Shirako is the sperm sack of a blowfish (ha!) or cod. It's reportedly buttery and creamy. Watch the video to see who swallows this... delicacy. Be smart, subscribe: http://goo.gl/Z7lbS Watch More Why Would You Eat That?: http://goo.gl/8V404 Shirako, which means "white children," is a Japanese made from the Milt of Pufferfish or Cod. Milt is another way of saying sperm sacks. Yupp! This cream, soft cluster is consumed mostly during the winter, when the fish are randy and the seminal fluids are in season. In the US cod milt is harvested in December where most of it is sent to Japan, where it is most popular. This semen sack oddly resembles brains, which we already ate. So this creamy, gelatinous animal goop shouldn't be too unfamiliar for the people in the office. Now, don't knock it until you try it! I mean, caviar is fish roe aka fish eggs aka the female version of Shirako, and would you turn down some fancy schamncy caviar? Have you ever tried Shirako? What did you think? Tell us in the comments below! On Why Would You Eat That? we scour the globe for the most bizarre foods and explain why anyone would be crazy enough to eat them. You'll be shocked to see how one man's trash can actually be another man's delicacy. Don't forget to subscribe to Tasted for a new episode of Why Would You Eat That? every Friday!s
