- description: Santa will leave the North Pole at about 11pm (AEST) on Christmas Eve, travel down the International Date Line visiting some of the Pacific islands first before passing through New Zealand. Santa is expected to enter our airspace a little after midnight and will make his first present deliveries in Hobart before heading north over the state and across into the mainland. Zig-zagging his way up an down the continent, Santa will use the five time zones Australia has during summer to his advantage while he delivers all his presents. One of his last major deliveries will be in Perth before he leaves our airspace for Indonesia and beyond.
