- description: Essex Police have issued CCTV footage of a man caught on camera shortly after a woman was assaulted in an alleyway between Port Lane and Peache Road, in Colchester on Thursday June 19 2014. Detectives want to hear from anyone who recognises the man who is wanted for questioning by police in connection with the attack which took place at around 9.45pm. The CCTV footage was caught on a camera overlooking the pathway and is about 30 metres away from where the attack happened. It was captured at 9.47pm. The man removes some headwear with his left hand as he walks along and is also carrying another piece of clothing over his right arm. The suspect in the attack is described as being white, in his early 20s, and around 5ft 7in to 5ft 8in tall. He was of medium build and had a narrow face, appeared unwell, and possibly had fair hair. At the time of the assault he was wearing a black hooded top and possibly had on underneath a dark top with a red logo on it. If anyone recognises the man in the video, the description or saw any suspicious behaviour in this area at the time or shortly afterwards then we would ask them to get in touch.
