- description: Hundreds of republicans attended the annual Volunteer Martin 'Doco' Doherty commemoration 2013 in Finglas. Martin Doherty was killed stopping a loyalist deathdquad from bombing the Widow Scallan's pub on Pearse Street during a Sinn Féin POW department function. The main speaker at the commemoration - which was attended by the Doherty family - was Daithí Doolan while the event was chaired by well-known republican Nicky Kehoe. Also present was Mary Lou McDonald TD, Dessie Ellis TD, Cllr Anthony Connaghan, Cllr Mícheál MacDonncha, Cllr Críona Ní Dhálaigh, Cllr Larry O'Toole along with a number of local representatives including Noeleen Reilly and Natalie Treacy. The Rising Phoenix and Martin 'Doco' Doherty republican flute bands both accompanied the march.
