Rumors are flying about the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony performers-we'll break it down for you! Hey guys, I'm Misty Kingma, you're watching ClevverMusic. The music director of the London Games Closing Ceremony, David Arnold, told the London Telegraph the event "should be the greatest after-party in the world". He's worked on the event for three years, and claims there will be 20 household name performances in a show that's "beautiful, cheeky, cheesy, camp, silly and thrilling." While, the performers at the Closing Ceremony are supposed to remain secret until this weekend, rumors on who they are have everyone buzzing. Whatever the outcome, we know the "event" will feature iconic Britsh artists along with new emerging favorites. Among the greats rumored to perfom: Adele, members of Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones, The Who, Elton John, and George Michael. Rumored new fav's at the show include One Direction and Ed Sheeran. Confirmed to perform are U.K. rock band Muse, who recorded the Official Olympics Song "Survival" for the London Games. The band's drummer told NME magazine Wednesday that they will perform the song at the closing ceremony. We reported weeks ago that Victoria Beckham claimed the Spice Girls would be performing at the Closing Ceremony, but no update on that as of yet. In addition to the big-name performers, the show will feature the traditional march of athletes, a montage of Games highlights, and a speech by Queen Elizabeth II. Personally, we'd love to see Adele and the Rolling Stones close the show- possibly a duet? Let us know who you'd love to see close the 2012 London Games? Don't forget to subscribe to ClevverMusic, see you soon.
