Some fans ran onto the field to join the scuffles, while others threw objects from the stands. Serbian media say that the drone was controlled by the brother of the Albanian prime minister Edi Rama, from the VIP section. Reports that he was arrested at the stadium are unconfirmed. 'Greater Albania' includes Kosovo, which contains a large Albanian population and used to be part of Serbia until its independence in 2008. The match was abandoned after 41 minutes, by which time neither side had yet scored a goal. Many Albanian fans had been prevented from attending the game due to security concerns.
