- description: Check out my stream at http://www.twitch.tv/zrave Spreadsheet link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AqQlGtY2zoQtdGRhX1l1WWphMTRvSUNuQmxRdExNUWc Hey guys. If you've watched my stream you've probably noticed that I use a spreadsheet to calculate how much dps I gain from an upgrade before buying it. I didn't want to share it directly because there are so many others out there, but a lot of viewers were complaining that the other spreadsheets/websites they have used don't give exact answers. So I decided to make this video explaining exactly how DPS works, and I've also created a version of my spreadsheet on google docs that you can use. Hopefully this helps some people :D Remember to make a copy so you can use it, you won't be able to edit mine (to prevent trolling). A slight inaccuracy that someone pointed out: When a weapon has attack speed bonus, if you want exact results you need to calculate the attacks per second manually. Base weapon speeds are: 1-Handed weapons: Mace/Spear 1.2 aps Axe/Mighty 1.3 aps Sword/Ceremonial Knife/Wand 1.4 aps Dagger 1.5 aps Hand Crossbow 1.6 aps 2-Handed weapons: Mace 0.9 aps Polearm 0.95 aps Mighty/Axe/Staff 1.0 aps Daibo/Sword/Crossbow 1.1 aps Bow 1.4 aps And then if the weapon has 10% attack speed bonus, you multiply the above number by 1.1 for a 10% increase. So for example a polearm with 10% attack speed bonus has attack speed 1.045, not 1.04 as shown in game.
