- description: Just a short update video for those who are waiting to see the HK turbine run (or not). Unfortunately, on examination, my store of jet fuel was suffering from a degree of bacterial contamination so I had to throw it out. As a result, no attempt has yet been made to start the HK turbine and I'm getting as impatient as everyone else. New Jet A1 has arrived and I also have a new can of turbine oil to mix with it. Now all I have to do is find a day when it's not raining and you'll see me firing up this jet engine -- for better or worse. Presuming it runs well enough, I will then be assembling the airframe that I purchased for the purpose and giving it some air-time. Stay tuned!
