- description: We started out the day, walking up to unsuspecting bystanders and pretended to talk disrespectfully about women in hijab to see what they would say. Our intent was to educate them about why women wear hijab at the end. In the middle of the shoot I said, "Why not do what we did for the bully experiment?" After 2 hours of filming our spirits were shattered as only two people came up to us. This isn't nearly all the footage. The video then became something so much more as it showed us the state of the nation we live in. And the goal of this video is to not only erase the ignorance towards "hijabophobia" but also to raise awareness as to why it's so important to intervene in these types of scenarios. Yes, the women in hijab can defend themselves, but it doesn't hurt to know that her brothers and sisters in this country and other countries are by her side.
