Yesterday the Swiss Federal Court confirmed the reports of BBC Panorama and Andrew Jennings over the last 15 months that Teixeira -- and his former father-in-law and former FIFA president Joao Havelange -- had been stealing millions of dollars from FIFA when they pocketed bribes in return for awarding marketing contracts. It is possible that the Brazilian authorities will pursue these two crooks for money laundering and tax evasion. But they have got away with many financial crimes in the past. Teixeira has made a special effort to 'look after' so many Brazilian judges, prosecutors and police officers that he will probably escape punishment. Teixeira has gone to hide in his Miami villa to escape the interest of Brazilian and international media. When he was president of the CBF Teixeira paid himself US$48,000 a month. After he quit -- he gave himself a payrise! Two weeks after Teixeira stepped down from the CBF his fellow gangsters at CBF sent him a cheque for an astonishing US$52,000. On April 30 the disgraced ex-president received another US$59,000. The gangsters at the CBFcan't stop themselves throwing more and more money at him. The new president of CBF, José Maria Marin, was challenged by reporters from Folha de São Paulo and confirmed that Ricardo Teixeira is still being paid by Brazilian football. Marin said that Teixeira had been given a contract for an indefinite period for 'consulting and raising sponsorship.' Marin hit the world headlines earlier this year when TV cameras in Sao Paulo caught him stealing a medal awarded to a young footballer.
