Sushma's hard hitting speech happened amid chaos created by opposition Congress members. Congress leader Sonia Gandhi was seen on TV asking one of her colleagues to shout even louder slogans when her husband was under attack by Sushma for serious charges. Unable to counter Sushma over facts, the Congress MPs shouted loud slogans throughout Sushma Swaraj's speech. Most MPs were seen using earphones to listen to Sushma Swaraj's speech clearly amid slogan shouting. Sushma Swaraj exposed Congress that how for four long years when Congress was in power no procedure was done against Lalit Modi.In support of her arguments he showed number of documents. She also exposed procedural lapses on Congress part because of which extradition of Lalit Modi couldn't be possible. She clarified that Lalit Modi was not fugitive. She said her daughter was 9th rank junior lawyer of Lalit Modi and she had not received a single Rupee. She revealed how then Finance Minister P Chidambaram's wife was assigned job to represent as lawyer for same department. Sushma Swaraj's speech literally punctured the bogus allegations made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and others who have stalled the parliament throughout the ongoing monsoon session for this single issue.
