Mother Tila Levi had turned away from her 11-month-old baby for just a moment as she talked to her other children. While the mother’s back was turned, the baby rolled over and fell off the changing table, a more than four foot drop. Thankfully, the baby’s 9-year-old brother, Joseph, saw his sibling falling and rushed in, catching the baby at the last moment. Both mother and son are grateful the baby wasn’t injured in the accident. Joseph is surprised by the fact that he even made it to his brother’s side in time. “I would have never caught him, and I can’t run that fast, so I felt like something came and just pushed me forward,” he said, “and when that happened, I just ran and caught him.” At first, Tila Levi blamed herself for the incident, but now, a month after it happened, she thinks it was a miracle that she had Joseph by her side so he could save the baby. Levi hopes showing the video to others will help someone else. She says this kind of accident can happen to anyone, and it just takes one second for something to go wrong. The mother considers her son a hero, but Joseph is just happy his brother is safe. “Miracles can happen always, but since this time it was me, I’m really thankful,” he said.
