Video posted online on April 12 by Danny Ford shows a large wolf spider on the floor of his Hallett Cove house, south of Adelaide. Mr Ford quickly seals the fate of the spider by whacking it several times with the broom, but it’s what happens next that is unexpected. Hundreds of baby spiders suddenly rush from the body of the mother spider, running in all directions. “Jesus, look at the all baby spiders,” Mr Ford exclaims as a woman gasps in the background.
