Some of the fotage for this video was done in June this year, when the cd Mountain Songs was released during the music festival in Saltoluokta, in the north of Sweden. When singing the Steve Earl tune The Mountain, Maxida Märak is accompanied by Downhill Bluegrass Band. Maxida does this song as a protest against mining industry in the area of Jokkmokk - an area which is so far saved from mining. The video is filmed and cut by photographer Tor Lundberg, who also took the initiative to the network Inga gruvor i Jokkmokk! (No mines in Jokkmokk). https://www.facebook.com/groups/ingagruvor/ More information is available in swedish at http://kvikkjokk.nu/blogg You can also visit www.whatlocalpeople.se
