The airline also commenced seasonal service to OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2006. Flights to Düsseldorf, Germany, began in 2008. The airline ceased operations in May 2010. Ghana International Airlines was known for providing cheap fares to Ghana for passengers traveling between London and Accra.
