JOHN’S, NL) January 12, 2017 - The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Criminal Investigation Division is requesting the assistance of the general public in identifying a male responsible for an armed robbery at a commercial business on Blackmarsh Road in St. John’s. On Monday, October 10, 2016 at approximately 11:50 pm, a male entered Ultramar on Blackmarsh Road armed with a sharp object and demanded cash. The man, who was not masked at the time, fled the area with undisclosed amount of cash and investigators believe he left in a vehicle that had been parked nearby. The man can be clearly seen in CCTV obtained from the business. At the time of the offence, the suspect was wearing a black baseball hat with red lettering, a black hoody and blue jeans. The RNC General Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate this incident and is seeking the assistance of the general public in identifying the individual responsible. Anyone who has information that would assist in identifying the person responsible or anyone who may have any information in relation to this crime is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
