- description: A six-year-old break-dancer taking part in the Baby Battle division of the Chelles Battle Pro competition held in Paris on Saturday gave a dazzling performance that wowed the crowd endlessly. The mini dance prodigy known as "B-girl Terra" from Wolverhampton, dressed in a grey tracksuit with pink stripes exhibited a stunning array of dance moves that stirred visible ripples of excitement in the crowd. Terra moves across the floor, gliding, spinning, executing incredible hand and headstands, spins and other flashy routines with mesmerizing flare. At the end of her performance, the precocious girl, with what appears an instinctive feel for showmanship, went to the side to high-five a supporter. Although, another dancer won the Baby Battle, Terra won the hearts of the audience with her electrifying performance. Audience comparing her performance to her opponent's, said: "They are both extraordinary talents. But, he was all technique, no style, no swagger. She is a delightful combination of style, technique... It's an art form..." According to The Huffington Post, Terra is a member of the Soul Mavericks, a UK B-Boy dance group. The Daily Mail reports she joined the group in 2012 along with her eight-year-old sister Eddie. The group is the current UK National B-Boy Champion and represents the country in international competitions against top B-Boy groups in the world. Break dancing developed among African-American and Latino street performers, and later Jewish Americans in the 1970s and 1980s, but since then it has spread to all parts of the globe, including South Korea, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Russia, and Japan.
