The fire started in the middle of the tower, rapidly spreading across some 15 floors. As the fire spread, chunks of the facade were seen falling down. Thousands of people were evacuated, gulfnews.com reported. The scene of a colossal building in flames is reminiscent of the “Titanic going down,” a witness told the Dubai-based paper. Police have yet to confirm if anyone has been killed as a result of the blaze, local media reports. Many people evacuated from the building, however, have suffered from smoke inhalation, according to Gulf Business. Dubai Torch Tower: One of the World's Tallest Apartment Towers Is on Fire 2015 A massive fire has ripped through one of the world's tallest residential buildings in Dubai. The inferno has taken hold at the 1,105ft tall Marina Torch building. The blaze is said to have started on the 50th floor, witnesses say. The building has been evacuated and there are no reports of any casualties so far. One witness said it looked like "the Titanic going down"
