- description: (CORNER BROOK, NL) -- October 1, 2013 - The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Corner Brook Region is requesting the assistance of the general public in identifying the person responsible for an armed robbery which occurred at a convenience store on O'Connell Drive in Corner Brook, NL. On Monday, September 3, 2013, at approximately 11:00 pm, RNC officers from Patrol Services, Forensic Identification Section, and the Police Dog Service, with assistance from the RCMP, responded to an armed robbery at the Corner Market. The male suspect entered the store armed with a knife and fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was last observed travelling south on French's Road toward the Dunfield Park area. There were no injuries as a result of the incident. The male suspect is described as being between 5'9" and 6'0" tall with a slender build. At the time of the offence he was wearing a dark blue jacket, jeans, a dark hat and sunglasses. The RNC Criminal Investigation Division are continuing to investigate this incident and are asking anyone who has any information in relation to the armed robbery to contact the RNC at 637-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
