The Coach Core program, run by the charity Greenhouse in partnership with The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, is a pilot project to train 16 to 19-year-olds to become qualified coaches and mentors for their schools and communities. Duchess of Cambridge, popularly called Kate, who was wearing a white and gray Hobbs checked Wessex summer dress, first tried her hand at table tennis against Hiba Feredj, the current English schools under-13 champion. Kate's efforts saw her described as "unbelievably talented" as she managed to win two points out of 10. Prince Harry joined his brother and sister-in-law but when he stepped on to a basketball court his efforts were described as "terrible" by his brother Prince William as he missed the hoop four times. In a speech to launch the Coach Core project, which will work in deprived areas, Prince William, who showed determination despite failing to score a goal, described his efforts at football as like a "giraffe on ice".
