Pat Quinn’s Career: · Served as General Manager of the Vancouver Canucks from 1987.88 to 1997.98 and as Head Coach from 1990.91 to 1993.94 and 1995.96. · As General Manager, he drafted Trevor Linden and Pavel Bure, and acquired Markus Naslund through trade; they comprise three of the four players in club history to have their numbers retired. · Accumulated a record of 141-111-28 during the regular season with Vancouver as a Head Coach, ranking fourth in club history for most wins and third for highest winning percentage. · Led the Canucks to a record of 31-30 in the postseason, ranking second in club history for most playoff wins and postseason winning percentage. · Led the team to a Stanley Cup Final Appearance in 1994. · Won the Jack Adams Award in 1992 for NHL Coach of the Year with Vancouver; previously won the Jack Adams Award in 1980 with the Philadelphia Flyers. · Spent two seasons with the Canucks as a defenceman (1970-71 to 1971-72), collecting 18 points (4-14-18) and 212 penalty minutes in 133 games.
