- description: CCTV footage has been revealed showing the manager of a hotel in Northampton punching and kicking one of his former employees.In the exclusive Chronicle & Echo video, Robert Hardman, aged 54, who runs The Plough Hotel in Bridge Street, can be seen attacking a former employee in the reception area.The footage shows Hardman continue to punch the victim when he is on the floor in front of a receptionist who attempts to intervene.Northampton Crown Court heard yesterday the attack took place on October 22 at about 4.30pm when the former employee went into the hotel to retrieve £800 he believed was owed to him.Alex Bull, prosecuting, said the two men then got into an argument and Hardman then punched the victim three times in the face so he fell to the floor.Ms Bull said: "He then punched him under the desk and dragged him out of the building."The court heard the victim suffered injuries to his lip, eye, nose and his two front teeth were fractured.Hardman was arrested and initially denied the attack during his first police interview but later pleaded guilty to a charge of causing actual bodily harm.Judge Rupert Mayo said it was a "shocking" attack especially as it was a manager on one of his former employees in a public place in front of another member of staff.He said: "After more than 50 years without any problems you lost it. The footage shows you lost it.
