It has the reputation to be used by special forces for its short range accuracy and very low shooting noise ; I don't know if it's true though. It's still an iconic "assassin" handgun. The Ruger MKII itself is a very well known semi auto .22lr pistol. Probably the most famous .22lr pistol of the world. The SOCOM Gear X Gemtech Oasis itself is a clone of the KJW MKII, but it adds a fully licensed Gemtech suppressor. Note the silencer is metal, but the frame and grip are plastic, the gun is light. It's also a NBB gun, meaning there is no blowback action. Therefore, the gun is double action only, and the trigger pull is quite heavy for an airsoft gun. It's also very long. Note that the KJW MKII is like half the price of this SOCOM Gear version (46 USD on UNCompany : http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=1874 ). You pay a high price for the trademarked silencer. Sadly, the gun is very powerful (Redwolf says it's 420 fps with green gas), which makes it impractical to use as a backup gun. Note that the performances are average, the accuracy has nothing great either (fact is it's also harder to be accurate with a double action only gun). On an ergonomic point of view, the european style mag release lever is a real pain in the ass. The magwell is very tight too, it's not east to put the mag in. For some reason, the safety is also hard to move. Be careful when you put bb's in the magazine, you need to gently release the spring, otherwise the bb's are going to fly out. I wish they make a GBB MK II, would be really cool.
