From the car being released in an unsafe state, to the driving leaving in to the path of a passing driver, an unsafe release is potentially a serious error. Being aware of your surroundings whilst driving is integral, not just when on the track but also when using public roads. The importance of knowing what is happening around you as you tackle junctions, roundabouts , other drivers, cyclists and pedestrians is immeasurable, as often a seconds lapse in concentration can cost the ultimate price.
