It all started in 2011 when Ian Thomas made a Dutch cover of Justin Bieber's megahit "Baby". While rehearsing the song at home , his stepfather, actor/singer Chris van Tongelen, secretly video-taped his performance. Unaware of the impact it would give, he uploaded the video on YouTube and within days it went viral and became a huge youtube hit. TV channels and radio stations shared the video and the Belgian press jumped on it big time. And so it came to the attention of record label Universal. Ian Thomas recorded his own version of "Baby" sang in Dutch and it got released officially on Itunes. Baby went straight to the top of the charts and reached N1 in the Belgian Chart. Witnessing the potential Universal immediately let Ian Thomas record his début album "More than a game" including the baby cover and original material. The album went gold in Belgium. Ian Thomas not only became a famous singer, he was also in demand as an actor and a model, he had his own brand of clothes and appeared in several sitcoms in Belgium. 2013 became even more important in this teen idol's career, Ian Thomas has always wanted to release his music world wide and to do s he surrounded himself with a new management team , Ian Thomas even started his own record label, IT Records. Not bad for a 16 year old. Ian Thomas is now ready for the next step in his career. After 3! N1 singles in Belgium, "Rain" ,"Walking on air" (with Anise K, Lance Bass, Bella Blue & Snoop Dogg) and Another Round, and a participation in the Flemish version of "Celebrity Splash!" where he finished with a silver medal, Ian Thomas is back today with his second full album ''Game Time'', and this time he will release it out the United States, the territory he is determined to conquer!
