- description: The original cartoon theme for "Spider-Man". Spider-Man is a Marvel Comics superhero. The character was created by writer and editor, Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko. He first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962). Spider Man has super strength, extreme agility with flexibility and stamina, and the ability to cling to most anything. He is able to shoot spider-webs (or sticky clumps) using devices of his own invention which he called "web-shooters". There have been many variations on the hero including a guy in the future with no real powers per se and in the live action movies, he shoots the web by his own generation ( he shoots web directly from his own wrist without a special device.) Also during the Amazing Spider Man comic run, it turned out his clone was Spider Man and the original Peter Parker was killed. However, no worries, because the clone had all the knowledge, memory, powers and age of the original Spider Man...so, it's like he never died. (I'm not making this up folks) In the 1970s a short lived live action of Spider Man was created for TV but I believe it didn't have the backing of Marvel.
