Es war das erneut frühe Gegentor, dass die Knappen nach der bitteren Heimniederlage vor zwei Wochen auf keinen Fall kassieren wollten. "Ich stand relativ nah am Ball, wollte ihn mir noch einmal vorlegen, doch dann war es schon schon zu spät. Ich dachte, ich hätte mehr Zeit. Bitter, so eine Niederlage eingeleitet zu haben", sagte Hildebrand. "Für Schalke ist das sehr, sehr ärgerlich, weil sie bis dahin gut im Spiel waren", sagte auch Chelsea-Stürmer Andre Schürrle.
