Jump out of bed, get some clothes on and catch the next cab to the city. 12:35AM - get dropped at a nearby ATM, withdraw $200 cash(!) 12:40AM - get inside the venue, NPG are kickin' it, just warming up for the main atttraction 1:15AM - Prince arrives in the building, hangs out, listens to the grooves going down 1:30AM - He gets up stage, grabs a guitar and starts this wailing solo! 1:40AM - Zoom runs out of batteries, time to enjoy the gig and get down to some of the funkiest jams I ever did hear... 4:00AM - Prince leaves the building with his extended entourage 8:00AM - get up for work oh so tired, ears ringing and smile grinning
