- description: Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are releasing surveillance video and seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an assault in the City of Vaughan. On Saturday, November 8, 2014, a fourteen-year-old male was working at a banquet hall in Vaughan during a large wedding reception. At approximately 12:15 a.m., the male walked outside the front doors and asked a group of wedding guests to return inside the building with their alcohol. After making the request the male was assaulted by one of the guests, who struck the victim with a head butt. The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital. The suspect left the scene prior to police arrival. Suspect described as: • Male, white • 25 to 35 years • 6’, with a thin build • Short, dark hair Police are releasing a video of the assault and requesting public assistance in identifying the suspect. The actual assault occurs at 12:16:01 of the video at the front door of the banquet hall. Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may have been at the event who have not spoken with police yet or anyone who recognizes this suspect.
