When we menstruate; we lose about 0.5 - 0.7mg of Iron per day. Remembering that daily; we need also need iron for other bodily functions, such as production of the red part of our blood; we need to make sure that we have the right amount of iron during our menses; so that we do not end up being tired. it is this red part of our blood that provides out body with oxygen, (the part of air from what we breath in); that combines with the food that we eat, to provide energy. so. When we eat 1 large potato, or 1/4 cup of cashew,or 1/4 of almond, or 1/4 sunflower seeds, or 1 cup of broccoli; or at least 1.5 cup of spinach (more because its hard for the body to absorb the iron from spinach). or 1 cup of beans; 1/2 cup raisins; etc we get iron.
