Do you know what onomatopoeia is? It's the words we use for sounds, like Bang! Crash! And snap, crackle, pop! Japanese has different onomatopoeia words than English. For example, cats say 'meow' in English, but say 'nyan' in Japanese! Neat, huh? Try learning some Japanese onomatopoeia in this video! I put the Japanese word first, then the English. Some Japanese onomatopoeia don't even have English words! With this game, you have to listen to a sound and grab the card that matches the sound as fast as you can.
