- description: Police are appealing for public assistance following the alleged indecent assault of a vision impaired woman at Ashfield and also during a train journey from City Central to Gymea in Sydney's south. A 23-year-old woman has told investigators that between 11am and midday on Wednesday 17 July 2013 she was in the Brown Street elevator at Ashfield Railway Station when an unknown person touched her breast. The woman then caught a train from Ashfield to City Central, where she caught another train to Gymea. She told police that when the train was between Jannali and Sutherland Railway Stations she was again touched on the breast. The woman said she felt a hand on her breast and heard a male voice speaking to her. The 23-year-old then moved to another seat however she was followed by the man who continued speaking to her. After a brief discussion, the man then got up and walked away. The woman got off the train at Gymea and later reported the alleged incident to Ashfield Police. Investigators have released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their inquiries. He's described as being of Indian appearance, thin build, and 170cm tall. He was last seen carrying a backpack and wearing a distinctive brown and white striped jacket.
