Release death grip and 3G + data is back again after about 20 seconds. Note that for this to happen you have to cover the bottom end of the phone, the transparent strip and plastic bottom of the phone behind which the antenna is located, but the signal loss (2-3 bars to 0 bars) happens instantly, and data loss shortly after. The complete loss of bars and data only occurs in places/areas with moderate to low signal signal. Finally we urge you to keep in mind that most death grip scenarios are fairly extreme and not something that often occurs in real world usage. This is merely a demonstration of how sensitive the Xperia S antenna is, should you hold the phone the wrong way.
