Disgraceful Bouncer - Office Bar Limerick

- description: I was on facebook last night and came across a video shared by a bouncer at the Office Bar in Limerick in which he essentially humiliates a young man trying to enter the bar. I don't think I've ever seen such a power hungry display for complete arrogance. Just from the video we can see that the bouncer: 1) Makes the young man walk forwards and backwards in a straight line 2) Makes him stand on one leg, touch his nose and close his eyes.. while hopping 3) Asks him his age, 18, and then tells him it's 19's tonight 4) Asks him when he's 19, next month, "it'll be 20's next month" 5) Taunts him "You don't look like someone who has many friends" 6) Tells him if he can walk in a straight line with his eyes closed he can come in. Makes him do it with his hands on his head and hop back to him. Still doesn't let him in 7) Makes him say the alphabet backwards 8) Asks him for 50 euros to let him in 9) Asks him to get down on his knees and beg to be left in The young man seemed pleasant enough and nowhere near as drunk as some of the regular clientele you see in the bar at the weekends. Nowhere during his power trip does the bouncer ask for ID as he continuously sets out to humiliate the young man. As if public humiliation wasn't enough he decides to share the video to facebook on which he has over 1400 friends. I have a tonne of respect for bouncers, most of which are decent men who make sure we can enjoy ourselves in safety on nights out. One such bouncer saw sense and commented on the video (final comment). http://i.imgur.com/suNxtDB.png I am also a fan of The Office Bar and have always found their staff to be very friendly and I think that behaviour like this brings shame on a decent establishment. A simple "Not tonight" would suffice....
