It's one of the first bullpup weapon ever made, it's in service since 1978. The gun uses a lever-delayed blowback action, which is quite rare for an assault rifle, most assault rifles using a gas-operated action. It gives the FAMAS a high rate of fire, but also a high recoil. The Marui Famas is well known to be Marui's first electric gun. Which obviously makes it a very old airsoft gun. It may be a bit out dated now, but it's a good gun. One of the biggest con of this gun is that out of the box, it's a very screechy gun. The whole body is made of plastic (barrel, magazine, trigger guard and trigger are metal). But overall, that's still a nice gun. Good performances with low FPS, a LOT of room in the handguard to put any battery you want. I like the FAMAS, but I wish airsoft companies would make a FAMAS G2 version. To me, the G2 looks much better and it would be nice to have a Ebbr or Gbbr version. I know there is the "SV" version, but it doesn't use stanag magazines like the G2, it's more a replica of the G1 prototype. Note that the gun shown in the video is not an out of the box FAMAS Marui, it has been upgraded to 350 fps by its precedent owner. I think the gears are not perfectly placed in the gear box, which produces this loud sound. Not to mention it has obviously been used a lot.
