The footage, which was uploaded to YouTube, shows the wedding party cowering from the noise, before applause erupts from behind the camera. 'All of that happened in just one second,' the bride's uncle, Bruce Thornton, told ABC News. 'There was a flash, then a lightning strike and then thunder. There was a ball of flame and then an explosion, like a big boom. 'My brother, the father of the bride, was out there and said he felt like his legs got singed from the lightning.' The wedding photographer is seen darting in front of the camera, uncertain at what to do, while the bride and groom huddle together beneath an umbrella before continuing with the nuptials. Afterwards, the newlyweds, who had been showered on throughout the ceremony, decided to embrace the weather by jumping into the pool wearing their wedding clothes. A second video posted to YouTube shows the damp couple plunging into the pool holding hands to cheers from their guests. They are then joined by their bridesmaids and groomsmen in the pool. 'That's what a fun-loving couple they are,' Thornton added. 'They make the best of everything.' As the rain started to fall just before the ceremony, the 70 wedding guests had sought refuge under the cover of the beachfront property's home while the couple shared vows outside. The bride's uncle said that, despite the weather, the couple called the day 'perfect'. 'It was a wedding that we'll never forget anyways,' he said.
