Footage of strange creatures being washed up after the tsunami have emerged online ever since the disaster in 2011. More than 15,000 people were killed in the 9.0-magnitude earthquake which occurred on March 11, devastating many of Japan's coastal towns as well as unleashing the worst nuclear crisis in a quarter of a century. A further 340,000 people were displaced after the disaster, with a shortage of food, water and shelter causing problems for survivors across the country.
