- description: With a little over three months to go before the release of the New Initial D The Movie, エイベックス・グループ（avex group）released a much longer trailer today. In case you are not aware of the latest happening in the world of Initial D, there is going to be a re-adaptation of Initial D in movie format. To make things more excited, it will come in a trilogy form, meaning three part of the movies total. The first part will be released in selected theaters in Japan on August 23rd, 2014. From the trailer, it seems pretty clear that the story will be based on First Stage's AE86 vs FD3S (Takumi vs Keisuke) plot. Will they change any details? We don't know at this point. What will change are the voice actors. Unfortunately, it appears that they have changed all the original voice actors (seiyuu) for this trilogy. Like the title suggests, this is indeed an awakening. Like a dream being reborn. This is the new generation of Initial D. We are witnessing the passing of an era right in front of our eyes. Let's hope we never forget the original Initial D in our hearts.
