He counted relentlessly in his head, but slumber yet evaded him. There was a strange "tapping" that he felt behind his pupil. It was steady, frantic, and silent all at once. Flappy tossed and turned in bed -- then he felt it. Under the sheets, something was there... tapping. Then Flappy heard anguished, muted cries as if they were behind a pane of glass. Now he could feel eyes on him. He had to get away, but insomnia left him delirious and Flappy's world was not his own. Green towers sprouted from the ground and sky alike. To maintain his sanity, Flappy did the only thing he knew how: flap. He tried to calm his nerves by counting again, but the tapping in his head still made him jump. Flappy failed a thousand times over to dodge the green towers, but he couldn't stop... he would never stop. Now, the tapping turned to whispers. They taunted him.
