  • description: This video demonstrates that the two passes Sebastian Vettel is accused of making under yellow flag conditions in the Brazilian GP were actually valid passes. Then it shows a *third* pass which Vettel made, in a yellow flag zone, which should have been punished. Twitter: @footballistnick EDIT: Thanks for all the comments, way too many to read. There are a few responses which need to be made, for clarification of a few things: 1) Some people are mentioning the marshals post on the inside of the exit of T3 by the pit exit. The yellow light on the outside of the exit of T3 is paired with that marshals post (there is always a marshals post and a light together, but sometimes on opposite sides of the track), and that light is flashing yellow, which means that sector (the back straight from T3 to T4) is under yellow flag conditions. The lights on the dash confirm this. So *if* (see below) there was a marshal waving a green flag at that marshals post, he shouldn't have been, because the yellow light operates automatically based on decisions made by Charlie Whiting in race control. 2) Regarding the other shot of that marshals post, from T4 looking back down the straight - be careful that you're looking at the correct lap. The shot I've seen shows the green flag coming out when Vettel is behind a Marussia, when the lap you need to be looking at is when he is following a Toro Rosso, i.e. it's a different lap to the one in this video. 3) Finally, like I said in the video, I don't care what this would have meant for the championship, I'm just pointing out the events on screen. If you ask me, I can understand why the stewards could miss a yellow flag pass when so much was happening at once.
