But the Spanish ace has shown he’s really a softy at heart following a dramatic moment during an exhibition game in Mallorca. Nadal was playing in a doubles match alongside up-and-coming youngster Simon Solbas when it became clear there was some commotion in the crowd. Recently opened Rafael Nadal academy saw around 7,000 people seeing Nadal, Simon Bolbas take on John McEnroe and Carlos Moya. But in between all the fun, there was something tragic that happened! A mother lost her daughter during the exhibition match and she started looking for her while crying. The former Wimbledon champ stopped the game against Carlos Moya and John McEnroe to find out more, and it turned out a child had gone missing. TV footage showed the toddler’s mother crying out and shouting next to a steward. With word spreading like fire around the stands, the match stopped till the mother found her daughter. Hugging and crying, everyone cheered for the two when they met, the mother thanked everyone for their support.
