- description: A pod of Orcas were hunting stingrays right up to the edge of the harbour. One stingray escaped by stranding itself on the rocks (not in video, but photos on Google+ and Facebook). I spent a good 20 minutes following two adults and one juvenile as they made their way along the seawall. Two other adults were swimming nearby Once the pod had departed, I went back and (along with another volunteer) gently lifted the stranded stingray back into the water (as the tide was still going out and he was by that time quite stuck and almost fully exposed). Gotta love Wellington on a fine day!
