There's nothing to suggest any terrorism link." 9:20am Road congestion has spread out from the scene of the crash - reaching Clapham, Kennington, Wandsworth, Lambeth and Battersea. 9:20am Vauxhall Underground station, on the Victoria line, was closed, leading to disruption to services on the line. 9:19am The building is only a few hundred metres from MI6 and is situated on a busy roundabout. 9:18am The crane was on top of a building called The Tower, in the St George Wharf development, and is billed to be one of Europe's tallest residential towers. 9:16am Mark Louis Sidney, who was heading for Vauxhall station, told Sky News: "I heard a loud bang, I looked up and saw bits of propeller and parts of the aircraft falling off it and then plummeting down. Then a plume of smoke went up." 9:13am Eyewitness Matt Haverson was doing construction work on railway arches near the incident. He said there was a good "pull together" with people attempting to extinguish small fires and escort other people away. He told Sky News: "It was extremely scary... I obviously thought it was a terrorist attack." 9:11am Eight fire engines, four fire rescue units and around 60 firefighters plus officers are attending the incident. 9:10am Local resident Sarah-Beth Casey has told Sky News of an 'inferno' 9:05am Firefighters are also attending reports of a crane in a precarious position Saint George's Whalf, SW8. 9:04am The A202 in Vauxhall was closed southbound between Vauxhall Cross and the A3212 at Millbank junction. 9:04am South West Trains reported that Vauxhall main line station had been closed. Trains were running through the station but not picking up or dropping off passengers. 9:03am Sarah-Beth Casey lives in an apartment near the incident. She told Sky News: "You're always worried about things like 9/11 and things like that. When I heard the explosion - it was like a little earthquake. It was like a gas explosion. I looked up to see debris falling off the tower." 9:02am Network Rail said train services were not affected by the incident. Tube services were also running normally. 8:59am It is thought the helicopter may have hit two cars. 8:56am The helicopter cartwheeled to the ground and exploded into flames before crashing. 8:56am The crash happened near Wandsworth Road in South Lambeth, said police. 8:55am Burning wreckage and aviation fuel has covered the road while cars are also on fire. 8:50am Buses in the Vauxhall area have been diverted following a helicopter crash in central London.
