- description: http://www.youtube.com/user/RebuiltGaming Last summer, two men collided on an epic stage to wage war over the most coveted prize in professional wrestling. Threats were made, pipe bombs were dropped, and championships changed hands. Last year's feud between CM Punk and John Cena changed the landscape of the WWE for years to come. Now, as we head into the 1,000th episode of Monday Night RAW, we find ourselves in familiar territory. Monday night, these two will collide again as Cena cashes in his MITB briefcase for a shot at CM Punk's WWE Championship. As RAW goes to three hours, the 1,000 show is being treated like a big PPV and certainly has the main event to match. I can't speak for everyone, but this match creates a lot of concern. There's been a lot of talk recently about Punk breaking all kinds of records as he is in the midst of one of the longest title reigns in years. This has been fantastic for the championship, especially in the wake of last year's constant game of hot potato with the strap. On the other hand, there has been talk of how Cena hasn't held the title in almost a year, a rare occurrence for the face of the WWE. Punk negotiates his contract last year in Boston. The thing is, Cena doesn't need WWE Raw (also stylized as Monday Night Raw and identified on air as WWE Raw SuperShow)[4] is a sports entertainment television program for WWE that airs on the USA Network in the United States. The show's name is also used to refer to the Raw brand, in which WWE employees are assigned to work and perform on that program, the other program and brand being SmackDown. The show originally debuted in the United States on the USA Network on January 11, 1993.[3] It remained there until 2000, when Raw was moved to TNN, later known as Spike TV.[5] In 2005, the show was moved back to the USA Network.[6] Since its launch in 1993, Raw continues to air on Monday nights. different arenas in 165 cities currently broadcasts on a 3-week tape delay in South Africa on private broadcaster e.tv on Sunday evenings at 5.00pm. WWE announced on May 17, 2012 through various online outlets that Raw will continue forward as a three-hour broadcast following the 1,000th episode on July 23, 2012, a format that has previously been reserved for special episodes.[8] It was also announced on June 26 that there would be a new permanent General Manager of both Raw and Smackdown to be named during the one-thousandth episode of Raw. the title. The So Money in the Bank has come and gone, with many calling it one of the most bland PPVs of the year. Many of the matches ended as people predicted, nothing overtly interesting or ground-breaking happened, and John Cena once again main-evented a PPV at the expense of the WWE championship.Still, that is a debate that has been had many times over the past few months, and I have no interest in the matter as of this moment. What interests me is the prize he won at the event. The ability to have a shot at the WWE championship whenever he wants. As expected, Cena went the route of the good guy and gave the current champion CM Punk notice to when the cash-in would occur. Despite WWE's own Cult of Personality being beaten and weakened at the end of last Monday night's show after a thrashing from Big Show, Cena announced he will face Punk at the milestone 1,000th episode of Raw.I have no problem with Cena doing this. He's had the briefcase cashed in on him before and has been vocal in his criticism of those that use it for an easy win. It may be frustrating for WWE to once again make Cena their top dog in the chase for the championship, but I personally find the lack of consistency and continuity more frustrating. With that said, I feel the route the company have taken on Cena's win had given them a golden opportunity to get rid of a question that always hangs around the holders of the briefcases. Will they be the first one to fail?Roughly since the first PPV centered around this match, a big deal has been made about the fact that every holder of the case has gone on to win their respective world championship. This means that it is going to be a big deal when someone eventually walks away empty handed. WWE doesn't need him to be champion either. They have proven over the last year that Cena is the main event no matter what. While Punk remains champion, he, and the title, has had to take a back seat to Cena at every turn WWE raw 1000 goldberg returns undertaker returns hhh triple h returns ric flair returns shawn stone cold the rock john cena wins the wwe championship cm punk wins the wwe championship dolph ziggler cashes in wins raw 1000th episode CM punk heel turn
