However brave you think you are, most of us will get scared and jump, especially if we get caught off-guard. But spare a thought for poor Basse Andersen, who is so easily startled that even the smallest movement can send him diving to the floor - something his colleagues takes great glee in exploiting. The office worker, from Arendal, Norway, is constantly tormented by 'the entire company', as one colleague puts it. But luckily Basse takes it all on the chin (quite literally, with his regular plummets to the floor), usually recovering and bursting into laughter, not all of which can be put down to concussion. And the results make for a classic - even award-winning - video. The first clip you see - of Basse being scared by the man in the box - went viral last year, and led to the co-workers winning a high-tech digital camera. But spare another thought for Basse because, for his unintended comedy efforts, he got nothing - the Best Startling Video Award goes to the film-maker, not the victim. Doubters who are looking to see if this is a hoax, perhaps inspired by the regular pranks seen on shows such as The American Officer, can rest assured that Basse is not in on the joke. For at the end of this video, in which documentary makers meet Basse and follow him around the printing company, Oestereng and Benestad, they check for themselves. At the end of the video, they shout the Norwegian equivalent of 'Boo!' at the victim, and once again you see the genuine reaction of a man in terror. And with Basse enjoying - in fact, impressed - by his colleague's ingenuity, it seems likely the pranks will continue.
