What happens if the Free Love & Tolerance policy of two of the biggest clubs in Amsterdam is thrown into a blender together with a healthy dose of art, culture, entertainment and creativity? Milkshake festival shows that entertainment, musical taste, choice of clothing and status has nothing to do with sexuality. Life is just a party thanks to the great diversity of skin colors, religions, sexual preferences and male and female forms. Milkshake wants to celebrate Amsterdam's liberal character and is an impetus to bring courtesy and friendly manners back into society. Thick, thin, small, large, gay, straight, trans, travo, black or white: people are the salt of the earth and this is what we celebrate! Milkshake festival is a concept invented by Peter van Vught (Paradiso) and Marieke Samallo (AIR). They thought it was time for a spectacle with entertainment and a fusion of the liberal club nights that have a link with Paradiso and AIR.
